Position: Supervisor of Instruction

Responsibility:  Responsible for providing leadership to the school division in curriculum, instruction, school improvement, Standards of Learning, Standards of Accreditation, Standards of Quality, and Federal Programs.
Qualifications:
*Possess knowledge, skills, personal characteristics, and leadership qualities necessary to work effectively with administrators, teachers, staff, other educators, community groups and organizations, governmental agencies, etc.
*Ability to lead the school division in the development, implementation, and assessment of K-12 curriculum aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning.
*Ability to effectively use data, research, and best practices in instructional decisions.
*Demonstrated planning, organization, collaboration, personnel, and fiscal management skills.
*Five years of successful experience in public education which include at least two years of administrative/supervisory experience and strong background in curriculum and instruction.
*Hold a Virginia Postgraduate Professional License with administration/supervision endorsement.
Contract/Salary:  Twelve month contract to begin as soon as possible.  Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.  Benefits package included.
